BESS Meeting Recap
Thanks to all who attended our BESS meeting Tuesday evening to hear some informative presentations and participate in a lively Q & A. The conversation continued the next day in similarly spirited fashion at our monthly coffee meet-up, this month at Black Sheep Bagels.
Key Takeaways:
– In the big picture, storage is key to our nation’s energy grid and BESS can be an important component. However, there is still much to be learned, such as appropriate siting guidelines, safety response and benefits,
– The Town BESS Task Force is carefully looking at the BESS issue and how best to make it work appropriately in our town should the Board decide to move ahead. Click here https://southoldtownny.gov/
– We have a well-informed local group seeing after our safety concerns in our volunteer Fire Department.
